Important Tips For First Time Home Buyers
Are you ready to start the next big chapter of your life for the New Year? Buying a home can be one of the most rewarding experiences you can give yourself. I am here to make this process as easy and enjoyable for you as possible. I take great pride in being a realtor, and seeing the joy on a new home owner’s face when they decide where they will live the rest of their lives. With that being said; buying a new home can being sort of over whelming. In this blog I will be giving you some of my personal tips to help get you started on becoming a home owner!
Have Your Budget Set
When you are looking to buy a home it is always best to know exactly what you can afford and what price can negotiate. Buying a home is not an easy task and it is a very big decision. Most home owners mortgage last from 10-15 years. With a commitment this large you do not want to be stuck in a bad financial situation for years to come. If you are convinced you have found your dream home, but it is just a little out of your price range you should consult your bank for a personal loan. Depending on your bank, you may be able to get the extra money at a reasonable price that will let you live your life comfortably.
Location, Location, Location !
Location is almost more important than your house itself. A golden tip to follow is, if it doesn’t feel right, don’t commit. Thankfully I have many houses in the New Jersey Area that are for sale in the best locations for families, with a short commute to New York City. New Jersey is one of the best states where you can get “the best of both worlds”. By this I mean you can get the busy rush of the working in the city but still have the quite relaxed pace of the suburbs when you get home. When buying a home your surrounding areas will become places where you make memories and hopefully start a family. No home is worth being in an area that is not to your liking. Trust Your Realtor
I named my business “In Pete We Trust”, because I know how important it is for you to trust me during this process of selecting a home to buy. Your realtor should always be honest and make sure they have the knowledge to give you the best deals on the market. Market Value is always fluctuating and if your realtor is not on top of that, you may find yourself over paying thousands of dollars above market value. My promise to you, is to always give you accurate and honest opinions on prices for my listings.
